To register for using the dog parks in Apex and be issued with a gate access key, pet owners need to complete a simple application form, provide copies of their dog's license and vaccination certifications, and pay the fee which applies to them. Residents of Apex are charged $30 for one pup or $50 if they want to register more than one. Non-residents pay $60 or $100 if registering more than one.
There is a two dog limit for each application. The gate keys are valid for a continuous twelve months from the date they are issued. Renewals should be done a week or two before the expiry date, or pet parents might find their card has been de-activated, and pup can't get its off-leash time.
