Road tripping with your pup can be a blast. Sometimes squirmy pups need to get out and stretch their legs, so it’s a good thing there are strategically placed dog friendly rest areas near most interstates. You can find one of these pawsome pit stops right off eastbound Interstate 20 at mile marker 38 near Eutaw, Alabama. If your doggo needs a break while traveling through Green County, this is a pawfect place to stop!
When you pull into this rest stop, you will find a nice
piece of pawperty that is well lit and welcoming. Large lawn areas, flowering
trees, and tall pines make this place extra inviting. Your leashed pup can roam
around the grass and check out the smells or sniff out the pawfect stick. They’ll
probably meet some of the local squirrels. There is also a designated dog walk
area they can explore. While walking your pooch, make sure you have some clean-up bags on hand, and do your part to keep this place smelling
fresh!
Two legged visitors will be happy to know there are
vending machines that are always fully stocked. If you are running low on
snacks, you can replenish here. The bathrooms are known for being clean and
there are more than enough garbage cans available. Both picnic tables and
picnic shelters are located onsite for an outdoor snack or meal with
your doggo.
Before you head out on the open road, make sure your pup
has had time to do their business. It may be a few hours until the next break.
But they will feel great and ready to continue the drive after stopping at this
furrific rest area!
