Indianola Off-Leash Dog Playground boasts of large fenced grass areas which are cordoned off into sections for small and large dog play. These fenced enclosures are well-shaded by plentiful trees and are surrounded by picnic tables which provide seating for owners to enjoy while supervising their dogs' playtime.Â
The park is equipped with access to fresh, clean water to keep your dog properly hydrated during his playtime. There are also complimentary on-site poop bags for your use in picking up and properly disposing of your dog's waste materials.
The park designers envision the addition of an agility course in the near future. This dog performance equipment will provide added exercise benefits as well as function as a wonderful complement to the on-site dog water splash pad.Â
This private park is accessible to members only. To obtain a membership, interested parties need to read and sign the Indianola Dog Park Membership Agreement, fill out the required application, and submit the necessary documentation, along with the prescribed fee for consideration by the park executive. The membership cost per dog is $25. This fee procures one year's membership to the dog park. If approved, members receive magnetic access cards which permit entry into the park and identifying lanyards to be worn by dog owners during their time at the facility.
The Indianola Off-Leash Dog Playground requires that all dogs be current on vaccinations, and proof of said vaccinations must be furnished at the time of application for membership privileges.Â
There is a maximum of 2 dogs per adult permitted on the premises, and all dogs must be supervised and under complete control by their owners at all times. Dogs under 4 months of age or females in heat are also prohibited from using the facilities.Â
This park is passionate about providing safe socialization opportunities for all dogs. With this in mind, socially inappropriate dogs or dogs who are displaying aggressive tendencies are not permitted to use the park.
While the park itself is off-leash in designated dog areas, it is mandated by park officials and city by-laws that dogs be kept on lead when travelling to and from play spaces.
