The Bella Vista Dog Park goes by several names. The official name is the Bella Vista K9 Corral Dog Park, but you can find it by searching Bella Park, K9 Corral Dog Park, even Loch Lomond K9 Park at Bella Vista (Loch Lomond being the name of a nearby lake). Whatever you call it, it's a very nice dog park. Bella Vista is managed by the Bella Vista Animal Shelter, and you can tell it was set up and is cared for by dog people.Â
The main section is big; over one acre, and is nicely landscaped. It has grass, trees in the middle of the park, and shrubs against one of the fences. The park also has beautiful wrought iron benches and seats, which are great and hold up well to the weather, but admittedly, get kind of hot in the summer. There are poop bags in the park, but only one trash can near the main entrance, so you may end up carrying your dog's burden for a bit.Â
A thoughtful, human park user has started a grocery bag recycling bin, so that dog people don't have to carry the little bags of trash around, but it might be better to simply put in another trash can at the other end of the park. There is a small dog enclosure that is about half the size of the main enclosure. That part of the dog park doesn't have trees or shrubs, but it does have some shade.Â
It also has a hose and water bowl for the little dogs. The main dog park doesn't have water, sadly. Both sides of the dog park have lots of dog toys for the puppies to play with, and the Bella Vista Animal Shelter recently got permission to provide wading pools in the summer, so that will be fun for the big guys, and will provide a great way to cool off after a nice, long session of play.
