Nestled behind a large residential area, this quiet dog park offers two large, fully fenced-in enclosures for differently sized pups. A small dog section welcomes dogs weighing 40 pounds and under, while bigger dogs have their own area to play. Each enclosure has double gated entries for safety, doggie fire hydrants to sniff, and agility equipment for sporty pups. There's tunnels, ramps to climb and hoops to jump through, and if that weren't enough to get your excited pup tuckered out, there's also lots of room to run. Whether fetching or chasing furiends, your dog will have a blast! And best of all, there's even benches for you to relax on while watching all the fun.
With a few trees inside the enclosures, and lots surrounding them, there is some shade. There's also a shaded area with picnic tables underneath in both sections for a break from the sun. Clean-up bag dispensers and garbage cans are located throughout to pick up after your pooch, but its always a good idea to have some bags on hand in case they run out. Bring water and a bowl for your thirsty dog, as none is available on site.
Before heading to this furbulous dog park, be sure your dog is licensed, fully vaccinated and wearing appropriate tags. Discourage your dog from digging, and be sure to fill any holes before you leave. Always keep the leash on your dog when entering and exiting the dog park, and keep the leash in hand while your dog romps freely.
For a pawtastic day, bring your pup run to the Keenum-Shelton Dog Park!
