Treat your dog to an afternoon at Alexander Deussen Dog Park and you will get a wet sloppy kiss of appreciation! As its name suggests, this furrific off leash area is located inside Alexander Deussen Park. You’ll find the doggy play zone in the southern section of the park.
When your pup arrives, they can ditch their leash and run
around the pawperty with reckless abandon. The park is covered in grass, so
your pal will have great traction. Not only can they burn off some energy, your pup can also meet new four legged friends and put their social skills to use. And,
if they are up for a challenge, they can take a turn on the agility equipment.
If you have a petite pooch, they will be happy to know
that this park has separate areas for large and small doggos. Little pups won’t have to worry about getting
mixed up with their larger peers. The bigger breeds have 5.25 acres of land, while the smaller canines have 1.25 acres. Both areas are fully fenced and have more
than enough room for canine visitors to explore.
When it comes to amenities, this park really delivers.
Two legged visitors can chillax on one of the benches or take a couple laps
around the paved walking path. Wherever you are, be sure you keep an eye on your dog and aren’t
ever too far away from them. Restrooms and drinking fountains are also
available. Doggy drinking fountains help keep the dogs well hydrated. And there
are plenty of waste stations with clean up bags and trash cans. Tall trees
provide much needed shade. Before you go home, you can stop by the hose and
give your pup a quick rinse.
No bones about it, Alexander Deussen Dog Park
will make your pup’s tail wag!
