Located in the municipality of Murrysville, Kovalczik Park has a dedicated off-leash area for canines, a playground, playing field, wooded trail, pavilion, and a basketball court that also doubles as street hockey court. Kovalczik Park is situated in Surrey Farms, a development off of Manor Road. It has two entrances and parking areas, which is excellent news for people who drive. One of the entries is at the end of Henry Hudson Drive, and the other is at the end of Koval Court.
The 30-acre neighborhood park’s off-leash dog area does not have fences so pet parents must always have supervision of their dogs. It is the perfect spot for your pooch to run around, roll on the ground and play to their heart’s content. One excellent way to stay healthy for pet parents is to exercise, and it is also the right way for our furry friends to use up all their energy, so they don’t end up anxious and not resort to destroying things at home.
The park does not provide dog poop bags, so pet parents are advised to bring their own and to collect dog waste and put them in proper receptacles. The management prohibits four-legged friends who are in heat and those who suffer from internal or external parasites.Â
Puppies below four months old and female dogs in heat are not allowed, and all dogs must display current license and vaccination tags. Spike must be on a leash when entering or exiting the off-leash area, including the parking lots and sports fields.
Pet parents are responsible and liable for the behavior and actions of their dogs at all times. The Municipality of Murrysville will not be held accountable for any damage or injury caused by any dog on municipal property or to any person who is in the park.
