Lady Bird Johnson Dog Park is home two fenced, doubled-gated sections: one for dogs of all sizes, and one that’s just for small dogs. In 2016, the park received a grant from the Beneful Dream Dog Park Project, allowing them to add more amenities to the park. Officials added tons of fun agility equipment to both the large and small dog sections of the park that includes a ramp for dogs to run up, platforms for pups to climb on, and a ‘Doxie’ tunnel for little dogs to run through.
While your pup plays, you can watch from one of the park’s numerous benches. There are plenty of trees throughout the park, keeping your pup shady and cool while they run around. If you or your dog get thirsty, human and doggy water fountains are both available in the park. There are also doggy bag dispensers in Lady Bird Johnson Dog Park.
If you want to go for a walk with your dog after they’re finished playing in the off-leash area, Lady Bird Johnson Park has a 0.6-mile loop trail you can explore. Dogs are welcome on this trail on-leash which will take you through a lovely wooded area and past a scenic creek. This trail is perfect for a short stroll with your furry best friend!
