Lake Claiborne State Park

The Lake Claiborne State Park sits in Homer, Louisiana. Fido is permitted to join his family on the grounds, but he must remain on a leash at all times and must refrain from entering any swimming areas. There is not a designated dog play area at Lake Claiborne State Park; however, drinking water is available via the on-site bathroom facilities. 

Owners should bring poop bags with them from home as all dog waste removal is their responsibility. Lake Claiborne State Park is a private facility. There is a $3 fee required to enter the grounds. Campsites and cabins are available for rent by reservation. An additional fee is applicable. 

The Lake Claiborne State Park proudly offers many attractions with something sure to suit the interests of every member of the family. Among the outdoor opportunities are camping, hiking, disc golf, picnicking, swimming, boating, and fishing. The property is also home to barbecues.

The park has not instituted any specific regulations for those visiting their beautiful facility, but the park does observe Louisiana state laws. With this in mind, all canine visitors should be up to date on all inoculations. As is required by most state parks, a city dog license is also mandatory.
