Lake Warren State Park

Lake Warren State Park is located 4 miles south of Hampton in South Carolina. This 440-acre park lends itself to many visitors each week. The lake itself is popular for boating and fishing and provides some gorgeous scenery for the visitors of the park. Campsites, picnic tables, restrooms, and other amenities are available within the park. This is a place for the family, as they have volleyball courts and playgrounds on site as well. However, there is no off-leash dog zone. Without the fenced in area for dogs, canines that have a propensity to run will find it very easy to get away in this forest.

The forest at the park is located in a flood plain, which means the vegetation there is well watered and stays very green. It also means that fires are allowed in the park, however due to a problem with some tree beetles, only firewood purchased in-state is allowed in the park. Tent camping is allowed within the park, and on the lake. There are no hook-ups for RV's and the amenities are not readily available for campers, so bring your own water and supplies. Boating is open to the public with multiple docks on the lake. Ball fields, picnic tables, and even an amphitheater can be found at this park, which means there is plenty to do for everyone.

Your dog will have a great time playing around with the family here and frolicking along the shoreline. You can have a great time fishing in the pong or lake, or taking everyone out on the lake with your boat. This is not a dog park specifically, and your dog is required to stay off the ball fields and on leash at all times, however the abundance of camping and trails and the variety of things to do make this park stand out amongst it's peers. The views, activities and abundant vegetation make for a delightful place to spend the day with your family and canine alike.
