Lake Wenatchee State Park is situated on 492 acres of gorgeous property. This idyllic recreation area is nestled on the northeast shore of Lake Wenatchee and on the banks of the Wenatchee River, which means there is an abundance of waterfront scenery. That combined with the beautiful surrounding mountains, makes this park the pawfect place to spend some quality time with your pup.
This beloved vacation hotspot is open year round and
offers many attractions for outdoor lovers. During the warmer months, visitors
can be seen boating, swimming, biking, fishing, and mountain climbing. When the
snow falls, the park becomes a haven for sledding, cross-country skiing and
snowshoeing. Your doggo will be happy to know there are also eight miles of trails
within the park, so get hiking! Please note that the area is known to attract
bears, so make noise while on the trail and keep your pup close by. Be sure to
carry some clean up bags and always pick up after your pooch.
Bring a couple sleeping bags and plan on staying for a
couple nights. Your pooch will love this place so much, they won’t want to
leave! There are over 150 campsites available, including options for both RVs
and tents. If a day trip is more your style, pack a lunch and make use of the
picnic facilities. Restrooms, drinking water, grills, and fire pits are all
available.
Entrance to the premises is granted upon the payment of a
$10 daily entry fee or with the presentation of a Discover Pass. If you plan on
returning to this park or exploring any of the other Washington state parks, consider
investing in an annual Discover Passes for $30. Your pup will seriously thank
you!
For a pawsome time in the great outdoors, bring Fido and
