Lakepoint State Park

Lakepoint State Park finds its home in Eufaula, Alabama. This lovely, comprehensive recreational center is home to the 45,000-acre lake known as Lake Eufaula. The fishing in Lake Eufaula is so abundant that it has earned its waters the affectionate nickname of "The Bass Capital of the World." 

The property also houses the Lakepoint Resort Lodge and Convention Center which offers modern rooms and amenities to families looking to enjoy vacation time in a more rural setting but with the conveniences of home. The lodge is but one of several accommodation types available on the grounds. 

Dogs are welcome to join their owners at Lakepoint State Park but must remain on a lead at all times. There is no area specifically demarcated for dog play; however, drinking water is available on the premises. Owners should carry poop bags with them at all times as the onus is on them for all pet waste removal. 

Lakepoint State Park is public recreational area and camping facility. As such, entrance to the premises is freely offered to all families and their beloved canine pals. However, all accommodations are by reservation only and are fee-based. Among the accommodation options available are the lodge, cabins, cottages, campsites with RV hookups, and primitive-style camping. 

Lakepoint State Park offers many great recreational opportunities for families to enjoy. Among the most popular activities are hiking, swimming, boating, camping, viewing of wildlife and birds, and dining in the on-site restaurant. Also housed on the grounds are a marina, lounge area, and a swimming center. 

Visitors to this park space praise the area for its picturesque beauty and serene setting. Lakepoint State Park observes and enforces all Alabama state legislation.
