Lenclair Dog Park

Lenclair Park in Alexandria, Virgina boasts a playground and wide open fields for kite flying and Frisbee tossing. What will really excite your fur-baby, however, is the dog park. Planned with fun and comfort in mind, Black Jack Dog Park will please both you and your pup, from its grass and wood chip surface to the amenities that will make dog-parents happy. Its long hours and nearby parking in a small lot or on the street make it easily accessible, whether it's for hours of play followed by a picnic, or a short run-around during weekend errands. The residential neighborhood surrounding the dog park is the source of many of its visitors.

The large size of the puppy playground will accommodate up to 46 dogs, but it's rarely crowded. Recent improvements have included a water source, waste bags and containers, seating for two-legged folks and a few small shade trees. While there are a few trees, humans should remember to wear a hat and bring sunscreen for hanging out in the unshaded areas.

Lenclair Park began as a neighborhood green space where pooches can still accompany their moms and dads on strolls and play on the rolling fields. The dog park features a picnic table and benches, but outside the fence, a blanket thrown on the ground under a big tree makes for a fine dining experience in the outdoors! Fully fenced and equipped with a double gate for Fido's safety, it's surrounded by a small portion of Lenclair Park with paved paths for walking and relaxing that's a pawrfectly grrrreat spot to loll after a high-energy workout in the dog park! Don't forget to bring a tennis ball or two!
