Large and energetic canines may find it hard to get in a good work out at this park. The total space is about 1-acre. Seating is a bit limited. There is a bench inside the fenced area, but only the one. Some accommodation in the form of lawn chairs has been left at this park to offset the current lack of seating, but this is a temporary solution to a long-term problem.
Most of this dog park is grass, but in some of the areas near the entrance, the grass has been worn down into just dirt. These areas have been covered in mulch which helps in the rain and helps to keep your canine clean in general, but the area still devolves into mud after a heavy rain. There are trees inside the fenced area of the park that have large canopies.
These canopies provide a lot of shade to the patrons of this dog park. This park is not lit at nights and closes at dusk. The greater area of the park here covers a total of eight and a half acres. There are public restrooms available at this park, playgrounds and walking paths through the vegetation.
Your canine is allowed throughout this entire park provided they are on a leash if they are outside of the fenced dog area. They are also not allowed inside any of the facilities like the restrooms or on the playground. Between the walking trails and the dog park, this place makes for a pretty good place to kill a few hours with your canine and help socialize your four-legged friend.
