Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park

Are you looking for a place to let your dog Scruffy play? If so, then you should check out the Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park. Although it's only a half an acre, this off-leash park will cater to Scruffy’s basic needs. This dog park offers a good running space for small dogs, but if you own a huskier dog, you might want to look elsewhere.

The gated area does have water fountains so you and Scruffy will stay hydrated during those hot California summers. Near this park, a fantastic playground, gazebo, and picnic tables reside. So after Scruffy gets his exercise, you can entertain the kids and have a picnic in the shade. 

And if you are feeling adventurous after your time at this doggy park, you can even enjoy the rock wall nearby. While playing with Scruffy, take in the surrounding nature - a gorgeous panoramic view of Rattlesnake Canyon and a forest tucked in the distance. Some trees offer shade in the gated area so you and Scruffy won't melt in the sun.

Scruffy will be happy with the lush lawn that’s well-maintained, and he also will enjoy the turfed and dirt areas. After Scruffy takes in the scene, you both can take advantage of the small doggy walkway by going for a short run together. Some visitors do complain that there is a lot of dog poop within the gated area and some owners don't pay attention to their pooch. So don't forget to keep a watchful eye on your canine pal. 

Local visitors also advise newcomers to attend the dog park in the early morning or the evening because it tends to get crowded. But if you and Scruffy have some free time, you should hop in the car and head to the Maddox Neighborhood Dog Park - just keep a mental note to keep an eye on him and clean up his poo!
