Madison Square Dog Park - San Antonio

If you're looking for a park that has that pawsome Big Apple vibe, you won't want to miss out on a trip to San Antonio's Madison Square Dog Park. It's a pawsitively awesome place to spend the day! 

You will find this pawsome doggy playground on the same grounds as Madison Square Park. Small at only 0.65 acres of property, this pawrific doggo play haven makes up on its small size with its big charm. There is a fully fenced play area where pooches of all sizes, shapes, and breeds can pawrty on to their heart's content. Off-leash play is welcomed and encouraged at  Madison Square Dog Park. Be sure to carry a leash with you at all times and to use it when not inside the designated off-leash play area. 

This furrific pooch paradise is located in an area of downtown San Antonio, so all pawrking is on the street, and it is metered. Be sure to bring lots of change to feed the meter! If you visit the park after 6 pm or on Sundays, there is no fee for the street pawrking. 

Madison Square Dog Park is chock full of all of the things you and your pooch could possibly want for a day of doggy playtime fun! In fact, everything you need is provided for you, so you won't need to pack a single thing from home. The dog run offers ample room for Fido to race around, burning off his pent up energies. The play area is a combination of grass, leaves, and dirt. It can get muddy after rainy weather, so you might want to keep a towel in your car to clean off your pup's dirty paws before the trip back home. There is also a wooftastic cement walkway which runs through the center of the dog park where you pooch can strut their stuff. 

The play space contains drinking water via fountains, as well as cleanup bags for you to use to dispose of your pooch's waste. There are also lots of benches where you can relax and enjoy watching your pupperoni have a ball!
