Millersylvania State Park

Covering 903 acres, the Millersylvania State Park in Washington is filled with beauty, adventure, and exhilarating fun for all types of visitors. People love coming to this park to spend the day by the lake, or enjoy the many other recreational opportunities found here. Best of all, dogs are welcome to join their people in exploring all that this puptastic park has to offer.

For the water lovers, Deep Lake on site offers fishing, and a dock for the boaters. You can bring your own, or rent kayaks, pedal boats or paddleboards. Swimming is also available, but dogs are not allowed on any designated swimming areas. 

Hikers will love to explore the 8 miles of trails through various forested areas and meadows. With 155 picnic tables and shelters, there are lots of furrific places to rest and enjoy a snack or meal. There's even 4 kitchen shelters, pawfect for a family get-together complete with electricity, a wood stove, sink and grill. An amphitheater hosts events, while horseshoe pits can entertain the family. 

Stay overnight at a primitive or RV campsite with your pup. Reservations can be made on the Millersylvania State Park's main website or in the park's main office. Restrooms near the camping areas have hot showers, while just toilets are available throughout the park in various locations.

Bring your pup with you to this woofderful park, just be sure to keep them on a six foot leash at all times. Bring a bowl for drinking water, and a water bottle if you plan on hiking. Always have clean-up bags on hand, and stoop and scoop wherever you travel throughout the park. Be sure your dog is fully vaccinated and licensed before coming.
