Monticello Park is a completely unfenced facility. Dogs are required to be on a lead at the entrance to the park; however, visitors to this pristine haven for nature lovers note that dogs are permitted off-leash on trails as long as they are under the verbal control of their owners. All owners should carry a lead with them at all times.
It is unknown if there are bathroom facilities on the premises for public use. In addition to this, it is recommended that owners bring a bottle of water and suitable drinking vessel to help keep Fido well-hydrated since it is unknown if there is a potable water supply on site.
This picturesque park is accessible to the public free of charge. Though it is not known if complimentary poop bags are provided on site, park officials mandate that all owners carry bags with them to assist them in the picking up and proper disposal of all canine waste materials.
Official park regulations state that all dogs attending the Monticello Park Off-Leash Dog Area be current on all vaccinations including rabies. It is also required that dogs bear the appropriate required state license tag. Dogs aged 4 months and older are welcome at the park. However, dogs in heat or any dog exhibiting socially inappropriate behavior will be asked to vacate the premises.
