The
Morris Broadband Dog Park is sure to become one of your pup's
favorite places in Fletcher! Located within the Bill Moore Community
Park, this off-leash dog park is a puptastic spot for Fido to get
some exercise and make new friends—you'll
find all the cool canines in town hanging out here!
The
Morris Broadband Dog Park is composed of two separate sections for
doggos of different sizes. Large dogs go to the left enclosure, while
the smaller ones go to the right. Just make sure your pup is
properly licensed and inoculated before you head in. Visitors say
neither section has much shade, so it's probably best to go there in
the early morning or late afternoon so that Fido doesn't get too hot.
Bring
your own water and bowl, too, as these are not provided and no one
wants a thirsty, dehydrated dog! But
don't worry if you forget your doggie waste bags at home; you'll find
mutt mitt dispensers (and trash receptacles) near the entrances.
Unlike other dog parks, Morris Broadband does not include benches or picnic tables for humans. There's not much opportunity for sitting down, anyway, as you'll likely be busy trying to keep up with your pup while they're climbing over the agility equipment and chasing after their playmates.
Just
outside the dog park is Cane Creek, where you can let your furry pal
cool off and play in the water. If they still have some energy left
to burn after spending time in the off-leash area, you can take them
for a stroll on the miles of walking trails that meander throughout
the community park. Keep in mind that your pooch must be leashed once
you're outside the dog park.
For
off-leash fun in Fletcher, you can't go wrong with bringing your best
friend to the Morris Broadband Dog Park!Â
