Norwood Estates Dog Park

Norwood Estates Dog Park is located in Austin, Texas. This pristine dedicated dog facility forms a portion of the popular Lake Town Trail and offers two fully fenced areas where your dog can enjoy some off-leash play time. One of the two enclosures is reserved specifically for use by small dogs. While the dog runs are designated off-leash zones, it is required that all dogs remain on a lead when traveling to and from the enclosures. In addition to this, owners are asked to carry a lead with them at all times in case of an emergency.

Access to this public space is available free of charge. It is unknown if bathroom facilities are housed on the premises. There is a plentiful supply of fresh water on-site to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his play time at the park.

Benches are scattered throughout the park in shaded areas to allow owners a central vantage point from which to view their dogs at play. For those desiring a picnic lunch on the grounds, comfortable picnic style seating is also available for public use. It is unknown if complimentary poop bags are provided on the premises. Owners are mandated to bring bags with them to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste to help preserve the integrity of the park. 

Visitors to this doggy play haven rave about the park's cleanliness and ideal location which is near to downtown Austin. However, some owners do note the presence of a shrub in the centre of the play areas which hampers their ability to properly supervise their dogs. 

Though no specific rules govern the use of this public play space, it is highly recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations. Additionally, it is advisable for all dogs to bear the appropriate required state license tag on their collars.
