West Austin Dog Park

West Austin Dog Park is located in the Clarksville region of Austin, Texas. This dedicated dog facility boasts of a fully fenced area where dogs can enjoy off-leash play in a pristinely clean setting. Though the dog run is a designated off-leash play zone, owners are asked to retain a lead with them at all times in case of an emergency. Additionally, dogs are required to remain on a leash in all other areas of the park and when traveling to and from the enclosure.

Families visiting this park can enjoy the many on-site amenities including the wading pool, basketball courts, tennis courts, and playgrounds. Also housed on the premises is a multi-purpose athletic field suitable for a number of different sporting activities. Visitors to this public space can also leash up their dogs and explore the property's lone nature trail. 

Access to this public space is free of charge. It is unknown if bathrooms are available on-site. Also not known is whether or not there is a provided water supply to help address Fido's hydration needs. For this reason, it is suggested that owners carry a bottle of water and a suitable drinking vessel with them. It is not known if poop bags are provided on the premises. However, it is required by law that all owners carry bags with them to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials to help preserve the cleanliness of this park for all to enjoy.

Though no official regulations are posted regarding the use of this doggy play haven, it is highly recommended that all dogs be current on vaccinations including rabies. It is also advisable that all dogs bear the appropriate required state license tag on their collars. Visitors to this public park facility praise it for its commitment to maintaining a clean and orderly property for all dogs and their owners to enjoy.
