Ogunquit Dog Park

The Ogunquit Dog Park is an off-leash dog park in Ogunquit, Maine. The dog park has a distinct lack of parking spaces, there are only a couple, but it is possible to park a vehicle relatively safely on the side of Spring Hill Road. Keeping dogs leashed until inside the designated off-leash zone here is a must. Being off-leash could endanger a pup's life, and no pet parent wants that. 

If you're not from Ogunquit, don't worry. All dogs, even those not resident in Ogunquit, are welcome to use the dog park facility. This dog park in Ogunquit is a super shady woodland nook just for pups to play in. Measuring around one acre in total, the off-leash areas are securely enclosed with some good solid fencing, so no pup is going to escape and go traipsing through the forest. 

Small breeds have been well provided for and have their own independent section separate to that of the big breeds. There's no getting trampled underfoot when the big boys sniff out a squirrel and go chasing after it. Small dogs have all the room they need to do things at their own speed. One thing which is a big worry for all pet parents using woodland areas for exercising their dogs is ticks. 

There's no need to worry when using the Ogunquit Dog Park as it is treated every two months with an organic spray to keep control of the problem. That doesn't mean pet parents don't need to keep their pup's parasite treatments up to date, they do and all their vaccinations too. 

Another thing pet parents need to stay on top of is scooping all the poop. This is a woodland area, and sometimes poops can be hard to spot amidst the fallen leaves. Never let woodland camouflage deter you from foraging for your pup's poops. All poops need to be removed and definitely shouldn't be left behind to blend in with the landscape.
