Old Renner Park is a small, but pawtastic two-acre, neighborhood park that was established in 1983. The park is pupular among tail-waggers and two-legged residents in the area for active recreation activities, and welcomes pups.
The park is an open field with several facilities, including a playground, basketball court, and tennis court. The surrounding area is residential, so you can expect to see several houses all around and a school in this quiet neighborhood.
Old Renner Park is clearly defined by a paved path that dog-owners can use to walk their furry friends. The path surrounds the park that is mostly covered by grass and a few trees. If you prefer to get in a good workout with your pup, jogging around the quarter mile loop is pawfect, and the park offers a drinking fountain as well. Bring a bowl for your pup's convenience. There are also some benches in the park which you can use after a good run or walk.
Alternatively, you could enjoy a picnic with your pooch and a great day outside. There are picnic tables in the park, or you could make use of the shade under the trees next to the playground area that features a slide and other equipment.
Remember that you are required to keep your dog on a leash and to clean up after your pupper when in the park. Thankfully, there is a pet waste station that you can make use of to dispose of your doggy's waste.
Old Renner Park has enough to make you and your pooch happy that you ventured to have a day out. Have a woofderful day!
