Overlake Park is a pawtastic place to visit for dog-owners and their four-legged friends if you have a few minutes or hours to spend outdoors. The 2.5-acre neighborhood park was established in 1998 and has a lot to offer residents in the area, including anyone with a leashed pooch looking to have some fun under the sun.
The park has a rectangular shape with a paved path enclosing the entire area. This path is about a quarter of a mile long. On a cold, wet or muddy day, you can walk or jog around the track and avoid getting you, and your doggy all dirtied up. That said, the park is covered with grass over most of it, and additionally has some paved paths within its boundaries. These areas are pawfect if you just want to stroll around. You could alternatively relax on one of the several benches available in the park.
On hotter days, if you and your doggo want to be under some shade, you have additional options. First, you could make use of the pavilion in the park, or the picnic tables. You could also bring some chairs or an outdoor mat and relax under one of the several trees that dot most of the park. Make sure to bring some water and snacks for your pooch. Clean up bags are also a must!
If you and your furry friend prefer to be more active, there are several options. You could frolic in the grass, jog around the park, or take a leisurely walk.
