Overlook Park Off Leash Dog Area

Standing on top of a hill, the Overlook Park Off-Leash Dog Area is one of the best places in Oregon to take Spike. This park offers gorgeous views of the city which more than makes up for a hectic day at work. However, it is right along a busy driveway, so dog owners must keep a very close eye on their dogs or risk having canines injured. It is not the safest bark park in Oregon.

The place does not have a lot of parking to offer. One alternative is to park in one of the Kaiser lots, and as such, it is usually not very busy. There is no water or waste bags provided so pet parents must remember to bring some to make the trip enjoyable. Everyone has to pitch in and do your part to keep the place tidy, and pet parents are expected to pick up after their furbabies.

The Overlook Park Off-Leash Dog Area is quite tiny and the presence of a few picnic tables, although helpful for people who would like to enjoy their snacks, is making the area seem a lot smaller than it is. The good thing is there are also a couple of bathrooms in the old stone building nearby so those who want to use the toiler have somewhere to go but be prepared for a little filth as park-goers have claimed that the toilets are not very clean.

Dogs must always be kept inside the park as being outside without a leash will lead to a ticket as someone is patrolling at all times. Quite a lot of people think that the hill is a terrible location from the park as you cannot throw a ball from the left side without it getting into the abutting driveway. The playground nearby is fully equipped with complete children’s play sets so tiny tots will love the place when you take them with your four-legged friend.
