With small and more timid dogs in mind, one of the fenced play areas has been designed specifically for their use. All of the enclosures are equipped with water fountains where dogs can quench their thirst after a rousing round of play. Also on hand are poop bags owners may use to clean up after their pets.Â
In accordance with policy regarding all City of Tucson public dog parks, Palo Verde Dog Park is open to dogs and their families free of charge. Littered throughout the dog run sections are picnic tables and benches where owners can relax and decompress from the busyness of city life. The City of Tucson officials prohibits smoking in any park space.Â
Palo Verde Park offers many great opportunities for fun for Fido and his family to enjoy. Visitors can relax in the park's open fields or play on the on-site tennis courts and baseball diamonds. Also included on the grounds are a playground, a batting cage, and a paved walking trail which runs in a loop of the property. Thinking a picnic might be in order? Why not cook up a lavish feast on one of Palo Verde's barbecues which are provided for public use? Bathrooms are also installed on the grounds for use by visitors.Â
The management of Palo Verde Dog Park places few expectations upon dogs and their owners making use of the park space. It is, however, required that all dogs bear a current Pima County license tag and be up to date on all required inoculations. Ready to explore a great new park? Bring the whole family for a visit to Palo Verde Dog Park!Â
