Parkdale Park

The Parkdale neighbourhood is an eastern community near the center of Dallas, with long rows of residential homes and lots of trees and open space, a contrast to the packed city center. One of the gems for dog walkers of the neighbourhood is Parkdale Park, which boasts nearly 16 acres of space that is open, airy, and sunn.

A parking lot for Parkdale Park is available on the west side of the park and can accommodate over 20 cars. The parking lot is partially shaded by trees, with a tree-lined entrance to the park that connects to a concrete trail. This trail loops around the western half of the park, and connects to different features such as a playground, swing sets, a picnic area with a pavilion, basketball courts, benches, and water fountains. Bringing a bowl for your pup's convenience may be a good idea, as is clean up bags. 

This trail is halfway shaded with trees with plenty of cool sitting spots, and eventually forks off to another trail that begins to wind through the center of the park. Not only does green grass cover both sides of the trail, but a small creek runs along the southern portion of the trail. A baseball court can be found at the center of the park on the north side of the trail. The trail winds past open space and trees until it reaches the east corner of the park, with plenty of spots where pups can get off the trail and play in the open grass.

Parkdale Park may just be the park for you and your pooch, where you can play, walk, run, and have a fun time outside in a dog-friendly community.
