Paws on the Run (at Murrysville Community Park)

The Paws on the Run Dog Park at Murrysville is a fenced-in area designated to providing dogs with an excellent place to run, play and socialize with other dogs. Pet parents need to keep their dog on a leash until they have fully entered the dog park gate. Once securely inside the dog park owners can unleash their dog and allow them to run free and enjoy. Dogs are not permitted on the playgrounds and must be leashed at all times except when inside the designated off-leash dog area. 

There are a separate entrance and area for small dogs which allows larger dogs to have the freedom to play with other dogs their size. Both areas have plenty of space to play fetch and give your dog the freedom to run around as much as they like. Dogs that are aggressive towards others in the area need to be removed immediately for safety reasons. 

The Paws on the Run Dog Park at Murrysville has a water fountain for dogs and a community dog bowl. Pet parents that don’t want their dog drinking from a shared bowl need to bring a portable water bowl and give it to their dog away from the others in the dog park. 

All dogs visiting this beautiful park need to have their license and vaccination tags on their collar. This rule is enforced to help keep the area safe and healthy for dogs and their pet parents. Dogs that are recovering from an illness should remain at home until fully healed. 

This fenced-in dog park is already a great place for you to take your dog, but there are also improvements planned for the future. The plans include seasonal canine wading pools, trees, and a bench. There will also be a particular area where pet parents can store doggie poop bags and share with other dog owners when needed.
