This off-leash park is about 1.7 acres, and features 3 paddocks: one each for large and small dogs, and an all-weather paddock surfaced with wood chips that is open no matter the weather, year-round. The other 2 sections are only open from April to November because of the grounds conditions during the wet winters. The large and small dog areas feature benches and a human water fountain, plus doggy fountains. The tall chain link fence is secure against the escape artists in the pack so the humans can relax and enjoy the mayhem. A .5-mile perimeter loop trail is the pawrfect place to cool your pupster off before leaving for home, or for acclimating a nervous pooch to a new environment before removing the leash.Â
Dog waste bags and trash receptacles encourage owners to pick up after their doggos and dispose of their solid waste; they appear near or on the information posts scattered about the yard. After a zany playtime, treat your pooch to a snack or shared lunch in one of the shady picnic pavilions.
If you haven't made it to this Portland park, now's the time to grab the pup and leash, and head on over there to see what the excitement's all about!
