Perkasie Dog Park is a public dog park located at the Lenape Park in Perkasie, Pennsylvania. In addition to the dog park, the Lenape Park features baseball fields, volleyball courts, soccer fields, a disc golf course, and even a skate park. There are also several picnic areas, playgrounds, and pavilions, as well as a suspension bridge and a wind generator.
The Perkasie Dog Park was opened in May 2011 and can be found across the street from the Perkasie Square Shopping mall. It's approximately one acre in size and provides a safe, securely fenced environment for dogs to exercise and socialize off-leash. It has a simple but well-designed layout that is made up of two separate areas for dogs to enjoy.
There is a small dog run that accommodates small dog breeds and a large dog area for the large hounds. The dog park also features an agility course for canines to train on. The Perkasie Dog Park is equipped with water fountains that help keep the park’s patrons hydrated, strategically placed trash cans and free waste bags that help keep this great park clean and well-maintained.
However, probably because of the Perkasie Dog Park’s popularity, the poop bag dispensers often run out so make sure to pack extra plastic bags, just in case. There are several benches inside the off-leash areas of the park that enable owners to keep their dogs in sight during playtime and make sure they behave.
Since there are several trees growing within the off-leash areas, finding shade usually isn’t a problem. However, kiddie pools are available too, so feel free to fill them up when it gets too warm for your furball. On top of all of the above, there are public restrooms located by the nearby softball field, which is convenient in case you spend more than a few hours with your canine buddy at the Perkasie Dog Park.
