Pet Haven Park

Pet Haven Park of Spokane WA, is a private property committed to stimulating your dog’s mind and body, and an ideal spot where you can enjoy the company of other dog lovers. It’s conveniently located in a lush green zone, surrounded by large shade trees and fresh air. What initially started as a simple dog run has turned into a profitable dog park, daycare, and even a cremation and funeral service center. 

The Fairmount Memorial Association, a nonprofit organization in Spokane County, set the grounds for a new pet care complex in Pet Haven Park, located north of Riverside Memorial Park on Government Way. The property is modeled after Hillcrest-Flynn Pet Funeral Home and Crematory in Hermitage, Pennsylvania, which includes a private dog park. 

This entirely enclosed facility features separate play areas for small and large breeds and includes plastic bag dispensers so that owners can clean up after their dogs. Each area has its doggie play equipment which consists of exercise tunnels and enrichment toys on a soft play surface. 

Members can have access to the facility by using electronic keys, while dogs need to be on a leash whenever they are entering or exiting the park premises. Additional amenities include drinking water, WiFi, “Ask a Vet” programs, as well as doggie baths and dryers. Like all area dog parks, there are rules for use, such as legal licenses and current vaccinations for all dogs joining the Pet Haven Park community. 

Pets must also be well socialized and not exhibit dangerous or aggressive behavior. Furthermore, owners need to be aware of their dogs' whereabouts and actions at all times.
