Is your pooch bouncing off the walls? Then it must be time for a trip to the dog park! Pack up your pooch and head over to the Phil Hardberger Dog Parks so your doggo can have some much deserved off leash fun!
As you may have guessed by the names, these dog parks are
located inside Phil Hardberger Park. This furrific green space is divided in two by Wurzbach Parkway. If you want to see the entire park, safely
cross the road by using the bridge. The east and the west sections of the park each have their own off leash areas, and both dog parks have sections
for small and large doggos. The West Dog Park has more
room for petite pooches, while the East Dog Park has about two acres for big
breeds. While it’s worth checking out both sides, larger pups will pawbably
feel more at home on the west side.
Regardless of which dog park you visit, your fur baby can
check their leash at the gate and run wild. Since these are pupular parks,
there are always plenty of four legged playmates for your pal to meet and romp
around with. Bring a ball for a game of fetch or let your pooch cruise around
and sniff the new smells. Both the east and west parks have obstacle courses to keep
your pal busy, as well as play shelters. Pet parents can have a seat at one of
the picnic tables. Just be sure to keep an eye on your pup and help them mind
their manners. Clean up bags are readily available in both parks, and doggy
drinking fountains keep the canine visitors well hydrated.
No bones about it, the Phil Hardberger Dog Parks will make
your dog’s tail wag!
