Description

Offering interesting recreational opportunities like geocaching and mountain biking, Prince Gallitzin State Park has been entertaining locals for over 45 years. Prince Gallitzin State Park offers a three-level orienteering course that touches on roughly thirty points of interest along the Muskrat Beach Area.

These courses are perfect for both beginners and intermediate explorers, so make sure to pick up all necessary equipment from the Prince Gallitzin central office lobby area before setting out. Prince Gallitzin State Park has camping options galore, with a total of 398 sites available for both tents and trailers.

About 75% of these sites have water and electrical hookups, as well as full sewage connections for recreational vehicles. The campgrounds contain a free swimming beach, a camp store complete with coin-operated laundry and a coffee shop, wireless internet, boat rental, and a boat mooring area for guests who would prefer to sail into the park rather than drive.

Also available to guests at Prince Gallitzin State Park are ten modern cabins that are open for reservations year round. The cabins include a full bathroom and shower, a kitchenette, dining room, and either two or three bedrooms depending on your needs. Canines are allowed in cabins #1 and #10 provided you've paid the extra deposit.

Cabin #7 is specially designed for the elderly and disabled, so guests of all ages and abilities will have something to choose from here at Prince Gallitzin State Park. Dogs are also allowed on the primitive campgrounds, provided they steer clear of all indoor structures and remain on a leash.

If you're a boater, Prince Gallitzin State Park allows up to 20 horsepower motors to ride on the 1635-acre Glendale Lake. This lake has nine public boat launches that are free for many different kinds of vessels. There are also three public mooring sites that cater specifically to sailboats, runabouts, and pontoon boats.

The marina and concession stands are also located on the shore and provide boat rentals, snacks, license and registration renewals, mechanic services, and refueling stations. If you're looking to get your dog out on the water here, make sure you've got them restrained and safe during their ride. When your boat is docked, be sure you keep your canine away from any indoor structures.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
