Description
The Puppy Palladium, also known as Surfside Beach Dog Park, is located on the Surfside Beach grounds in South Carolina. An idyllic dog play haven, the Puppy Palladium offers a fully fenced run where dogs can enjoy frolicking and playing in the sand all without the encumbrance of a lead. Though many dog parks do offer a separate play area for use by small, senior, or shy dogs, the Puppy Palladium currently does not have one on the premises.

However, all dogs, regardless of size, age, or breed, are welcome to enjoy the on-site dog playground. Though the enclosed space was designed with off-leash play in mind, it is of paramount importance that safety is the first consideration. For this reason, it is mandatory for all owners to carry a leash at all times. Park rules require that each owner provide one leash for each dog they have at the park. The maximum number of dogs permitted per handler is two.

The Puppy Palladium is a public facility, and as such, there is no fee to access the grounds. However, park officials do mandate that all dogs making use of the play space and/or Surfside Beach must be current on vaccinations. It is also required that dogs have a Town of Seaside Beach license tag which must be prominently displayed on their collar. The cost for a city dog license is $10, and it is valid for one full calendar year.

The dog run area is fully fenced and is also equipped with poop bags. Owners are asked to make use of them to clean up after their pets as is required by South Carolina law. Though bathrooms for public use are found on the premises, the dog play space does not contain water access. For this reason, owners should bring bottled water and a dog dish with them to the park.

For those who prefer a more leisurely stroll with their dog, dogs are permitted on Surfside Beach from September 16th through May 14th. However, dogs must remain on a lead at all times when not in a designated off-leash zone. Surfside Beach has a number of attractions sure to appeal to every member of the family including two playgrounds and picnic areas.

It is important to note that the Puppy Palladium prohibits the following items from the grounds: food, alcohol, glass containers, strollers, bicycles, toys, and cigarettes. In addition, it is forbidden for the property to be used for professional dog training without the express permission of the management.
