New Braunfels is proud home to the 8-acre dog park, Puppy Playland. This whole space is dedicated to the dogs, and is named after New Braunfels Puppy Playland, the non-profit organization that raised funds to build the park. It provides a safe place for dogs to socialize, burn off some steam, and spend quality time with their favorite humans. It also gives you the opportunity to meet and chat with other dog lovers in the neighborhood.
The dog park features three separate fenced sections that allow dogs of all shapes and sizes to play in safety. There is one for small dogs under 25 pounds, and another for large dogs over 25 pounds. The athletic pups can show off their skills in the shared agility area. The small dog side even features a cute little dog house. Some other features include drinking fountain for humans and dogs, and dog waste stations. Just don't forget Fifi's favorite ball or frisbee!
Pet parents won't need to worry about finding parking, with the large, off-street parking lot located within the park. There are three shaded pavilions where pet parents can kick back and watch the entertainment. Although there is shade, this park can heat up during Texas' dog days of summer. The peak time to head to the park is when it cools down, between 4:30 and 6:00 pm. Your pal is sure to find some puppy playmates around that time.
Doggos are welcome here with both paws, as long as proper petiquette is followed. This includes picking up after your pup, keeping them leashed when not within the fenced areas, and removing them at any signs of aggression. By following these rules, you can do your part to keep this dog park safe and clean for all to enjoy.
An afternoon spent at Puppy Playland is one your pal won't soon forget!
