Visitors to this public space enjoy its many hiking trails, access to the river, and views of the nearby dam, as well as biking over Riverbend Park's hilly terrain and bird watching. Access to this public park is fee-based. A park pass is required for entrance into the dog park. Passes are $20 and permit access to the dog play areas for one full membership year.
While this vast property offers many hiking trails for Fido to explore on lead with his family, there are fully fenced play areas throughout the park as well. These enclosures, which comprise two acres in total, are designated off lead zones for all dogs to enjoy. Owners are required to carry leads with them at all times in case of an emergency. Proof of vaccinations and dog licenses are required at the time of registration. The required inoculations include rabies, DHLLP, and Bordatella.
It is unknown if bathrooms are available on the premises for public use. Also unknown is whether or not poop bags are provided. However, park officials do require that owners carry bags with them to use to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste.
Due to the possibility of contamination, drinking water is not provided at this public park. Owners should bring a bottle of water and a suitable drinking vessel with them to ensure that Fido is well-hydrated during his play time. This park receives high marks from all visitors for its cleanliness and tranquil setting. For a serene afternoon in a picturesque Indiana park, bring Fido and the family to Riverbend Dog Park!
