Located on the premises for use by small, shy, and senior dogs is an enclosure designed with their needs in mind. Though all of Rocky Hill Dog Park's runs are designated for off-leash play, owners are required to have a lead on them at all times as an important safety measure.Â
Rocky Hill Dog Park is a public dog playground. Park officials proudly offer entrance to their dog play spaces at no charge. Found in the dog play areas are benches in areas with bountiful trees which provide optimal shade on hot days. Here, owners can enjoy a restful afternoon while they supervise their dogs at play.Â
Also located within the runs for the convenience and comfort of owners and their dogs is access to drinking water as well as poop bags. Owners are expected to display responsible pet ownership by cleaning up after their dogs. Bathrooms are not housed on the grounds. This park is spread out over terrain characterized by hills and wooded areas.Â
Visitors to this public park praise its tranquil, rural atmosphere which lends itself well to relaxation. Elm Ridge Park, a family-friendly recreational area, offers many interesting attractions for families to enjoy. Families can swim in the outdoor pool with a wading pool provided for small children to use or play a rousing game of basketball or volleyball on one of Elm Ridge Park's on-site courts.Â
Also available for public use is a playground, gazebo, picnic areas, grills, a softball diamond, a skate park, ice skating (in season), and the Veterans Memorial Amphitheater. There are no posted regulations visitors to this space are expected to observe. However, vaccinations are always a good idea as is a city dog license. For a great time in a serene, rural setting, plan a trip to Rocky Hill Dog Park!Â
