Rotary Dog Park is a public dog park located in the Cranberry Community Park in Cranberry, Pennsylvania. In addition to the dog park, the Cranberry Community Park offers a variety of playgrounds, picnic areas, athletic fields, courts for basketball, volleyball, and tennis, as well as public restrooms.Â
The parking is free in designated areas and there is also free WIFI available throughout the park during operating hours. The dog park can be found on the north side of the community park, behind the fire station between the Cranberry Township Public Safety Training Complex and lake.
The four-acre Rotary Dog Park was opened in August 2008 and has since become a popular location for the community’s dog owners. It is securely-fenced and has a double-gated entry system which prevents dogs from slipping out as others enter the off-leash areas.Â
The dog park has a simple, open layout that consists of three separate sections. One area is meant for small dog breeds while the other two accommodate big dog breeds and are open on a rotation basis to enable grass recovery. All of the runs are long and narrow, with slightly sloped terrain that provides plenty of space for dogs to play, exercise and socialize with their canine buddies.
The Rotary Dog Park is well-maintained and clean thanks to the dog waste bag stations, conveniently located trash cans by the entrance of the dog park, as well as within the off-leash areas. There is also a water fountain with a hose that owners can use to refill water bowls or the doggie pool that is also available at the dog park.Â
Though there are no restrooms directly by the dog areas, there are public bathrooms that are within walking distance in the Cranberry Community Park. The Rotary Dog Park has everything you would want in a dog park and it is very easily accessible as it is located directly by the parking lot so make sure to stop by if you live in the area or passing by!
