The Seaquest State Park is open year round and welcomes dogs as long as they are leashed and watched by their pet parents. All dogs are allowed in the park without any fee. Pet owners must keep your dog with you at all times. You need to plan ahead by getting your dog vaccinated and licensed. The rabies vaccine is required for dogs to enter this state park. Always display the vaccination, license and identification tags on your dog’s collar.Â
Depending on the length of time you plan to stay, always make sure you bring along fresh water, food, treats, and toys for your dog. An excellent adventure you can enjoy with your dog when visiting this park is the hiking trails. You can explore up to eight miles of trails, and you must have a leash for your dog that measures up to six feet.Â
The Seaquest State Park is a natural environment that people explore on a regular basis. Cleaning up after your dog is required for visitors with dogs. Make sure you carry doggie poop bags with you at all times. There are garbage cans located sporadically throughout the park so be prepared to hold onto the bag until you reach the trash.Â
Camping with your dog is lots of fun. You can choose from a variety of tent and camping areas that are dog-friendly. You can also visit the dog walk area at the campground to exercise your dog. It’s also a great area to meet other pet parents and allow your dog to socialize with other dogs.Â
The Seaquest State Park also features children’s play areas, a volleyball field, bird watching and horseshoe pits for the entire family to enjoy. Once you arrive, you are encouraged to visit the Mount St. Helens visitor center to get updated information about dog-friendly areas and activities in the park.Â
