Founded by a group of community volunteers with a passion for providing a safe place where dogs can receive proper exercise, enjoy off-leash play, and engage in plentiful socialization opportunities, the enclosures at South Windsor Bark Park encourage dogs to enjoy running and roughhousing completely off the lead.Â
To address the needs of small, shy, and senior dogs, one of the dog play spaces has been set aside for their use. Here, dogs of similar size, personality, and play style can freely frolic and play without concern for injury. To ensure the safety of all dogs, it is vital that all owners maintain access to a lead at all times.Â
All dogs visiting Nevers Park or any area outside of the designated off-leash zones must remain on a leash. South Windsor Bark Park is a public dog play haven, and access to the grounds is freely offered to all dogs and their owners. The dog play spaces contain water access to ensure that Fido and his pals remain cool and well-hydrated.Â
Agility equipment is also housed on the grounds to allow Fido to get a good workout for his brain and his body. Complimentary poop bags are provided, and park officials thank owners for assisting them with maintaining a clean park space by promptly removing and disposing of their dog's waste.Â
It is unknown if bathrooms are available on the grounds for public use. Nevers Park has many attractions sure to appeal to the entire family. This picturesque park space offers a playground, skate park, baseball fields, and trails to explore. Fido is welcome to join his family in these areas of Nevers Park; however, he must remain on a leash.Â
South Windsor Bark Park requires that all dogs visiting the playgrounds have a current rabies vaccination. In addition to this, a valid city license is mandatory. South Windsor Bark Park also strictly forbids cigarettes, glass containers, rawhides, food, and prong, pinch, or spike collars on the premises. For a day of fun in a great Connecticut park, why not plan a visit to South Windsor Bark Park?
