Southside Lions Dog Park is a fun off-leash dog run that every pup is sure to love! This 12,000 square foot dog park is located within Southside Lions Park, and it has lots of great amenities for pups.
Southside Lions Dog Park is located adjacent to the Southside Lions Senior Center. The park has two separate grassy areas: one for large dogs and one for small dogs. Both areas are fully-fenced and double-gated, keeping your pup secure while they’re playing. Both areas are also filled with mesquite trees, which help keep the park shady and cool on those hot Texas days.
There are plenty of shady benches for owners in the dog park, and if your pup gets thirsty, a doggy water fountain is available. There are also doggy bags and trash receptacles located in both parts of the dog park. This is a great place to play catch or Frisbee with your pup!
If you want to take your dog for a longer walk after they’re finished playing, Southside Lions Park has a puptastic multi-use trail that allows dogs on-leash. This paved loop trail takes you around a scenic ten-acre lake, and it also goes over a wooden bridge and through a beautiful forest.
If you’re looking for an even longer walk, Southside Lions Park is home to one of the trailheads for the Salado Creek Greenway. This 7.2-mile trail takes you along Salado Creek, and it goes through a forest filled with hardwood trees. You may also get to see some wildlife in the creek, including turtles and a wide variety of waterfowl.
Southside Lions Dog Park is a fun-filled park that’s great for dogs who love running and playing off-leash. Make sure to clean up after your pup, and enjoy playing in this park!
