Stretch Dog Park (at Tuttle Creek State Park)

Tuttle Creek State Park is located near Manhattan in the Flint Hills of eastern Kansas and comprised of approximately 1,250 acres of nature trails, tallgrass prairie, and natural rock terrain. Known as one of the steepest mountain-biking trails in the state, Tuttle Creek is also an ideal location for fishing, hiking, camping and wildlife watching. 

Situated behind the laundry/shower building down by the swimming beach, the Stretch Dog Park is the place where you can go for a run with your dog or walk alongside them on the challenging bike trail inside the property. The off-leash area is perfect for Fido to run and play, far away from the bustle of city traffic. 

Stretch Dog Park at Tuttle Creek State Park features large shade trees and benches as well as agility equipment so that your pup can exercise and have fun, all at the same time. There is also a scenic equestrian trail which offers a variety of routes where you can walk your pup while enjoying some of the most spectacular views of these native grasslands. 

Just make sure you bring enough water along for your pooch since there are few exit points on the 6-mile long trail. Before taking them to the park, make sure they are current on all vaccinations and legally licensed. At the same time, you should have complete voice control over your pup at all times and keep them on their leash when not in the designated off-lead area.
