Swaney Pointe K-9 Park (at Ramsey Creek Park)

Sparky will love this large dog park situated in Cornelius, North Carolina. It's a mostly grassy space with some dirt, so Sparky will enjoy digging. And due to the surrounding trees, owners and dogs will experience a lot of cool shade. This dog park remains a great place to get out of the sun with your dog on a warm day. 

Owners will love the atmosphere here because of the dense forest surrounding the enclosed area. So owners can take a breather and rest on the picnic table as Sparky enjoys trudging around this massive park. Sparky will have a field day (literally) in this 4-acre park. No dog will have a problem running off energy here. 

Be aware that although this park is large, there is not much more than open land, so visitors will not find an agility course or doggy pool. But this K-9 park offers a shady, wide-open space that Sparky can run safely in off-leash. And does Sparky need anything more?

Keep in mind that there are rules in this dog park to ensure visitor’s safety: Sparky needs to be sociable, have up-to-date vaccinations and a license, and you need to keep your pooch under voice control. Also, this dog park does not allow kids ages 12 and under.

This park is located in the Ramsey Creek Park, which provides visitors access to the beautiful Lake Norman Beach. You pay a fee per vehicle to get into this park: $5 for residents and $10 for nonresidents. But in addition to the dog park, You will be granted access to a boat ramp, playground, volleyball court, horseshoe pit, fishing pier, walking trails, and more.
