TaHaZouka Dog Park is a public dog park located in the 180-acre TaHaZouka park in Norfolk, Nebraska. The spacious park also features a softball field, a volleyball court, playgrounds, picnic shelters, fishing platforms by the pond and public restrooms.
The two-acre TaHaZouka dog park is divided into two securely-fenced, double-gated sections that minimize the chance of dogs slipping out as others enter the leash-free run. The small dog area is 0.38 acres in size while the big dog area is 1.68 acres and provides plenty of space for dogs to stretch their legs. In addition to its size, the park offers all the facilities and features you would want in a dog park.Â
There is a fire hydrant, water fountains and lots of shade for canines to enjoy, as well as conveniently placed benches for their owners. Dog waste bags and trash cans are also available at the dog park which explains why this park is so clean and maintained. Please make sure to do your best in cleaning up after your pooch if you visit this park and help keep it poop-free.
Although it is an all around well-equipped and more than adequately-sized dog park, it isn't too popular. If you are looking for a dog park primarily for canine socialization or large groups of dogs of all breeds and sizes that your canine can play with, this may not be the best park for you. However, if you are looking for a beautiful, relaxing environment where you can play games of fetch or tug-of-war with your four-legged family member without antagonizing other dogs with toys this is an ideal location.Â
The little-known park is also a great spot for organizing play-dates or training your dog new commands without too many distractions. Despite the fact that the park is quiet, making human and canine friends won’t be a problem since the few regulars that do come to the park are very welcoming of newcomers!
