Though the enclosure is a designated off-leash zone, it is required that all dogs remain on a lead when traveling to and from the play spaces. Additionally, it is also wise for all owners to carry a leash with them at all times in case of an emergency.Â
The Preserve Dog Park is also home to naturally wooded areas and a beautiful hiking trail for Fido and his family to enjoy. Water is also available on the premises to help keep Fido well-hydrated during his fun time at the park. It is not known if on-site bathrooms are provided.Â
Throughout the park is plenty of comfortable seating in shaded areas to allow Fido's family to enjoy watching him at play. It is unknown if poop bags are available at this pristine park space. However, it is required by North Carolina law that all owners carry bags with them to pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials.
Access to this space is restricted to residents of Davidson only. It is fee-based, and registration is required. Interested parties must take proof of a current rabies vaccination and the $10 annual fee to the Davidson Police Department to obtain a park tag permitting your dog use of the Preserve Dog Park. Membership fees entitle dogs to access the facility for a calendar year.Â
Visitors to the Preserve Dog Park give it high accolades for its stunning community gardens. They also report a lovely playground situated on the premises where children can enjoy some play time. For an afternoon Fido and the family will never forget, plan a visit to the Preserve Dog Park!Â
