Description

The quaint, picturesque city of Snoqualmie, Washington is located east of Seattle. Within Snoqualmie near the Snoqualmie Falls and in plain view of Mount Si is the Three Forks Natural Park and the beautiful 8-acre, fully fenced Three Forks Dog Park. Probably one of the best-known stories in the City of Snoqualmie is about Uncle Si, also known as Josiah Merrit or “Si.”

Josiah Merrit built his cabin at the foot of what is now known as Mount Si. Merrit was a pig farmer in the 1860s who supplied bacon to all the surrounding areas. You can actually see Mount Si in the distance when you are visiting Three Forks Dog Park, and it is a spectacular view! The Three Forks Dog Park is a huge grassy field with an area for small dogs and large dogs.

Initially, the park was not fully fenced, but now the fences have been completed, and this park has become a great off-leash dog park for both small and large dogs. The park is equipped with two drinking fountains, one for humans and one for our four-legged friends. There are several benches and picnic tables spread throughout the park.

There is plenty of parking space, and even when this park gets a bit busy, the field is so big that every dog has enough space of their own to run and play. Three Forks Off-leash Dog Park is connected to the Snoqualmie Valley Trail and the Three Forks Natural Park. The park trail is a lovely 31.5-mile trail that follows an old railroad line. It’s great for exploring, bird watching and taking in the amazing scenic views of Mount Si.

Pooches are permitted on the trails but must be on-leash when not in the off-leash area. Dog owners need to be cleaning up after themselves and their pets. It’s a good idea to bring dog waste bags when coming to this dog park and while on the outer trails. All in all, the Three Forks Dog Park is an ideal place to let your pooch off leash and run. There is so much space here, and your pet can really get in some great exercise.

Wag! does not allow or encourage Pet Care Providers to bring dogs to parks.
