Trace State Park

Located just minutes away from the Tupelo area, you will find Trace State Park. This park offers many different recreational activities as well as historical remembrance for the Mississipi area. Trace State Park was once home to one of America's earliest and exuberant pioneers, Davy Crockett. Crockett lived in this park area as a horse trader. 

Now, you can visit these past historical moments during your park visit. Trace State Park has many different types of amenities that are available for your enjoyment. While you are here, you will find picnic areas, picnic pavilions, laundry facilities, playgrounds, a disc golf course, a golf course, hiking trails, biking trails, and opportunities for fishing, water skiing, and boat launching. 

Dogs can also come to this park, but they must remain on a six-foot-long leash during their stay. When you visit Trace State Park, you must follow the rules and regulations that are enforced by the area. Dogs must be licensed, tagged, and vaccinated before they can enter the park, and female pooches in heat and young pups under four months old must remain back at home. 

Your dog must be well-mannered before they come to this park as Trace State Park does not tolerate any aggressive behavior, and humans must clean up and watch over their dogs while they are here. Humans should also bring water and dog bags for all of their fun adventures in this park. If you wish to camp, you must schedule a reservation.
