Trumbull Dog Park (at Indian Ledge Park)

Trumbull Dog Park, maintained by the community group the Trumbull CT Dog Owners (TDOG), is located in Trumbull, Connecticut. Housed on the same grounds as family-friendly Trumbull Park, this beloved dog playground is comprised of 1.5 acres of land on which sits two fenced sections for dogs to enjoy. 

A park born out of a passion for all dogs to have a safe space where they can enjoy off-leash play time, Trumbull Dog Park's two enclosures welcome dogs of all sizes and breeds to their facility. One of the dog runs is reserved for use by dogs who are small, senior, or shy where a gentler play style is adopted. 

Owners who frequent this dog playground remark that the large dog play area provides ample space for dogs to enjoy a vigorous run. This dog play haven offers several amenities for dogs and their owners to enjoy including comfortable seating for owners and agility equipment for their favorite canine pals. 

However, this park has only limited shade and no water access. It is wise for all owners to bring a bottle of water and dog dish with them to the park. Poop bags are provided, and owners are expected to assume all responsibility for cleaning up after their dogs. 

Trumbull Dog Park is accessible only to residents of Trumbull, and a current Trumbull parking sticker is required to enter the facilities. In addition to this, all dogs enjoying Trumbull Dog Park must be spayed or neutered. Trumbull Park, a family-centric park, offers many outdoor attractions to suit the tastes of every member of the family. 

Among the recreational opportunities are hiking trails, playgrounds, a BMX bike track, an amphitheater which regularly hosts concerts, bocce courts, a hill for sledding, a field comprised of artificial grass and suitable for many sports, and bathrooms. Also housed on the premises is a Teen Youth Center. Fido is welcome to join his family in these areas of Trumbull Park, but he must remain on lead. 

There are no rules posted regarding the use of Trumbull Dog Park's play spaces. However, to protect your dog against disease, vaccinations are recommended.
