Upper Macungie Dog Park (at Fogelsville Dam Park)

Upper Macungie Dog Park, located within Fogelsville Dam Park, is in Upper Macungie, Pennsylvania. This small dedicated dog facility offers fully fenced enclosures suitable for off-leash dog play. Visitors to the park love the grassy play areas, and particularly, the one space designated specifically for use by small dogs. The recreational dog play sections also include on-site agility equipment to provide stimulation for Fido's brain and his body.

Ideally situated to provide respite from the heat, benches are available on-site in shaded areas to permit owners to relax while observing their dogs at play. Also accessible on the property for public use is a water station to help keep Fido and his family well-hydrated during their time at the park. 

Fogelsville Dam Park itself is comprised of over 50 acres of pristine nature trails. Visitors to the area can enjoy a leisurely hike along the Hassen Creek while watching the waterfowl indigenous to the region. Fishing is also plentiful and permitted on the property.

While the dog enclosures permit dogs to be off leash, park officials require that dogs be kept on a lead when traveling to and from the play areas as well as in other sections of the park. It is also required that all dogs be current on vaccinations and bear the appropriate required state license tag.

Though it is unknown if the park provides complimentary poop bags, owners are mandated to carry some with them. To preserve the pristine integrity of the park, owners are asked to promptly pick up and properly dispose of all canine waste materials.

Access to this park is free of charge to the public. Bathrooms are available at this facility. Upper Macungie Dog Park requires all dogs to be supervised by their owners and under verbal control while off leash. Owners are asked to retain an appropriate lead with them at all times.
