Description
The Walla Walla Dog Park gets a lot of attention from the locals and not just because of the name. This park is meticulously maintained by the city and it has amenities that go above and beyond expectations. There is a pavilion with seating available which makes for great shade.

The dog park even provides tennis balls for you and your canine to use, which is great as they have a decent amount of space to chase them around. The Walla Walla Dog Park provides a water spout for you to hydrate your canine but if they don't like drinking straight from the air, you should bring your own dog bowl.

There is a separate section for small canines. They also have canine waste bags available as well as disposal tins. They have a water feature for your canine to play in as well as pretty decent sized fields for being at its location in the middle of town. The entire field spans two acres.

Many volunteers, as well as a $30,000 grant from the Sherwood trust, came together to build this park. Independent donations and a dedicated following keep it well maintained and provided for. The city does require your dog to be up to date on his vaccinations.

The larger area of the Fort Walla Walla park is nearby. This does not allow you to take your canine off leash, however, it offers miles and miles of gorgeous hiking, and walking trails. This area is a 70-acre swath of land that has been dedicated to a wildlife reserve.

The Walla Walla Dog Park also has a playground for children to play on and they have sand volleyball courts. There are also a ton of sports you can play in this park from disk golf all the way up to a BMX course and a skate park. As this park houses many activities, parking can be scarce at certain times or events.
